Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is an odor-free, colorless, non-poisonous fuel in liquid phase. It is carried and stored in liquid phase and offered for consumption in gas phase. Liquefaction of natural gas involves refining natural gas off the heavy hydrocarbons that are inherent to it, and aims to yield a much clear gas, i.e. LNG that has a higher energy value compared to natural gas.
